the lovely Bethie (pastoral
) gave me 5 words that i have to explain how they relate to me. if i don't, i fail at life. <3glasses;
I was about 7 when we learned that I had blurred vision. I had the most awesome optomitrist. (excuse my spelling) To make kids feel more comfortable in his office, all the glasses & eye screening things he used were all pop star/famous people related. I remember the Elton John glasses most. When it was determined I needed glasses, i got this big rimmed pink frames. I was pretty balla. For the next couple of years I had to get new ones, and stuck to a rectagular-esque tortouise colored pair. In 8th grade my parents let me ditch my glasses for contacts, in which i royally fucked up because I only changed them monthly. meaning, I never took them out unless it was time to change them. So, I had to get glasses again and only wear my contacts sparingly. (sad day. litterally, i cried. contacts are SO much better than glasses) For the next 4-6 years, while contacts were in my budget, i would switch between glasses & contacts week to week. This past year I ran out of contacts & was low on cash so I was just sticking with my glasses, when my adorable lovely girl Harvey decided to eat my glasses. So, mom had to drive me to lens crafters- and do the whole shebang. It was a nightmare, but I got some awesome frames & whatnot. FIN. cameras;
Photography!!!!!!! I've always had a camera, well almost always. I remember being a kid running around with cameras that didn't have any film and taking pictures. In the last I guess 6-8 years I've begun collecting cameras. My photography career (lol) starting with a shitty Minolta XG-7, in which was so old & dumb it needed duct tape to get the light leaks out. For my 18th birthday my parents gave me the Nikon N80 (manual 35mm w/ automatic settings) and for christmas my Kodak Easyshare piece of living shit. My digital camera died not even a year later, so for the following christmas my parents gave me a Nikon Coolpix <333 I've also begun collecting old cameras. I bought a huge lot on Ebay for $30 which ended up having some crappy ones, but for the most part were able to squeeze some in my elitist collection. I'm a sucker for cameras from before 1950. I love the shape and design of them, and how user friendly they were. <3winter;
I hate the winter. It's so bloody cold. There are 4 things I love about winter though. 1) My birthday. It's 12-24. 2) Christmas, we know when that is. 3) Snow. 4) New years. Not really sure what else to say about winter. IT's cold. I drink a shit ton of hot chocolate & coffee. I pack on pounds like I'm a bear in hibernation. absence;
This one is perfect. I have a habit of disappearing. I also got fired from my amazing $9.35/hour job because I was calling out once a week (that was their reason so they could promote 6 people & get new registers.) I like being around & in the know of everything, but I go through phases where I just... lapse. I disappeared off here for like 4 months came back and didn't realize how much I missed, for instance, with Bethie. Couple of years ago I would just disappear and ingore everyone except my parents. I would stop talking to my friends. Not sure why. I'm really independent I guess that'd be the reason. kitties;
AHHHH my favorite conversation. Growing up, we lived in rural Tennessee. So, because of that, we were able to have outdoor cats (also, my dad is HIGHLY allergic). They kept reproducing and reproducing, our girl cats were the neighborhood whore. We had probably 20 cats at one point. I was also like 7-11 during this span, so I loved them. Now, I live with my boyfriend. My boyfriend has 7 cats. I go through phases of loving them and hating them. Today I hate them. 3 of them belong to his ex girlfriend whom he broke up with over a year ago. They're all very sweet, they really are. One doesn't know how to use a litter box for some reason. I've caught him peeing in the kitchen. Another pees & poops under a mess in the kitchen. The list goes on. I'm turning into more of a dog & bunny person.
